I am interested in changing out the 2.8L ( boat anchor) out to a 5.7L in my 93 s10. I recently just purchased a 350, and it will soon be headed for the engine shop to be bored to 355. I've decided to go carbureted, so here I am with a few questions. I am looking to build a street/strip engine and am curious about the parts I will need. For the most part, I would like to keep it stock, but would like to add a better than stock strength all together. I am interested in replacing the intake, cam, and carburetor with some aftermarket parts to produce power. ANy ideas would be appreciated.

Thats as clear as mud, you want a street/strip stock engine?

Whats your realistic budget for engine parts alone, dont include money to swap the V8.
