I have a 2.2 4cyl. engine now and have access to a wrecked s-10 with a 4.3 for a good price and I want to put the 4.3 in mine. I know what is involved, but I am having trouble with the electrical stuff. I know I need to put the ECU from the 4.3 in my truck, but wont that mean that I have to put the 4.3 gages, cruise controll stuff, and everything else thats connected to the ECU in my truck, or will the 2.2 stuff plug into the 4.3 ECU. How does all the wireing from a 2.2 t a 4.3 swap work?

why wouldnt it be worth it? I like my truck and dont want to trade it for a different one. If I can get a wrecked s-10 for 1,000 and use the engine, then sell miscelaneous parts for 500 then I have a 4.3 for around 500 bucks. If I sold my truck I couldnt get a 4.3 for 500 more then what I could get for mine.
I was also looking at doing a v8 swap. If I did this then whats an easy engine to use (I want to keep my A/C) and what is involved with the wireing?
