Been awhile since posting anything on my
BB S10. Photobucket screwed everyone on pics so hopefully I can go back and repost my pics.
The truck has been in the shop covered up and the last time I drove it was 2013. WOW!

I got involved in other projects that kept me busy. One of those projects was a 1988 S10 blazer that I did the body and paint on. A friend bought It as a father and son project and it was going to be simple and blew up into a total restoration.......more on that one later.

But! Since doing that blazer project my friend motivated me and gave me some help in getting it going again.
Of course fuel cell was cleaned out along with the rest of the fuel system. Oil and filter, new battery and other miscellaneous things.

Here are a few pics getting it out. I will try to post a video or link later to it starting again for the first time since being parked.

Got the truck on the lift to go over it and replace the battery. Battery is under the bed in front of the right rear tire so the wheel had to come off. So I pulled all the wheels, did a polish on all the rims and checked all the brakes/wheel cylinders.

Before pic. Wheel doesn’t look bad in the pic but they were dull.

After polish they look way better.

Apparently I installed a new battery the last time I drove it! And after on a charge for a day it held a charge. But since it was from 2013 I didn't want to chance it leaving me stranded later so I replaced it with a new one.

The last time (2013) I drove the truck I had replaced the fuel filter and fuel hose. Well, it’s been 7 years! I can’t let that happen again!

So........the next thing was to get the fuel system cleaned out and oil changed.....again haha.
The truck uses a basic fuel and oil filter.

With all that done it was time to fire it up!

You know the old saying “it was running when I parked it”?
Uh yeah.....that didn’t work like we thought it would.
