I can't tell for certain from the sludge on the assembly (fuzzy photo 2), but is the washer (labeled #2) a spring washer like this,

rather than the flat washer labeled #2 in the first photo, or has it maybe been superseded? And, for anyone interested, do you have a link for this group of parts?
