Looking at buying an S-10 Blazer this weekend.
What are things that I should look out for.
The guy said that there is a problem with the transfer case, it only goes into 2H or 4L. IT DOES NOT GO INTO 4H.
He told me the problem was one of 3 things;
Loose wire connection
Encoder assembly
Transfer case motor.
Does this sound right and if so how difficult and expensive is it to fix each of these different items.

my friend just had to replace the transfer case motor (i think) and it ran him a couple hundred dollars ($500?) it's a rather labor intensive job i guess so if you are good and have a nice place to work on it... it might be worth doing...
