Background on the Vehicle:
I bought this in Fall 2004 from my Grandfather. My Grandfather suffered a stroke about a year prior, and felt compelled to sell his beloved truck. I had grown dissatisfied with my 1990 Toyota Cressida, so I was more than willing to get into Trucks. He bought it brand new when it came out, and got a custom racing stripe and white hood paint job on the otherwise all Red truck. Fast forward to March 2014, and the Truck was still driving like a champ. It only had 115k miles on the odometer, two different CD players installed, regular quarterly maintenance and countless invaluable memories.

What Happened:
March 16th. Was on a week and 1/2 vacation from work. Went out that evening to pick up the wife from work. I did the right thing and stopped at the 4-way stop/intersection. Looked both ways, was in the clear, and started driving forward. Unfortunately, an individual to my left slammed right into me. He was driving very fast, and approached his stop sign well after I already started continuing driving down the road. Problem is, he was driving at high speed, and completely neglected to stop. As soon as I was hit, and turned to the side of the road, he drove off as fast as he arrived. The vehicle didn't have anything but dealership tags, and was a white Dodge Charger. Unfortunately, I didn't catch the name of the dealership, but a witness at a nearby gas station helped clarify the make, model and origin of the vehicle in question.

The Fallout:
Luckily, my insurance company saved the day. Uninsured drivers coverage, and a long standing relationship between said company and my family, came through in a big way for me. Unfortunately, they deemed the Truck totaled. I hated to see the Truck go, especially with as long as it was in my Family. It was among the final physical memories I had of my Grandfather.

But, they paid me a large sum for the damage and value of the Truck. As a result, I purchased my now beloved 2000 Chevrolet S-10 Extended Cab 4x4 Pickup, which you can see full pictures and details of in "Member Rides." As bad as it was to lose my Toyota, moving on to a sleek Chevy made up for it.

The Evidence - Before and After:

As you probably noticed, behind my Truck is my brother's decked-out Chevy S-10. Custom grille, fully lowered to include lowride bounce function, equipped with state-of-the-art speaker system/full amp, custom electric door locks, removed long seat for two bucket seats and more additional customizations. The problem is, his S-10 doesn't operate and ride on a consistent basis; the doors regularly malfunction and don't unlock, and the Truck just won't start for a variety of different reasons every now and then. So, it looks better than it operates.

How did you get a green paint transfer from a white car?
