I was wondering what you guys though about this..
My buddy has a 2.8 Carbed ( brand new carb ) but the engine is knocking, sounds like piston slap. and also he has a 2.8 TBI in his 1991 s-15. What do you guys think about switching the TBI over to carb? Will this be a good thing? or will it lower the HP?
Im trying to get my buddys truck to run a little closer to us.
Any performance ideas or help would be great.
By the way, I already "flipped the top", and I've got a ProFlow dual exhaust system for him to bolt on.

if he uses an aftermarket intake and and a carb over 450 cfm, it should run the same or alittle better dependind on cfm, than the tbi. they flow like 400 cfm, i think,but not sure.

Holley has an upgrade tbi for the 2.8L that is over 400 crm that would be better or if he does not want spend that much money a 4.3 tbi will work. but if he does it he need to take the intake and have ported to match the new TBI It is a concerdable differance. x- the carb idea the TBI is more reliable.
