Greetings....
I just traded my Silverado for this gem.
as title says, 87 Beauty. Pulled out of 20 years storage.

Getting her Road Worthy.
Spent yesterday on Oil and Filter, Plugs, Vacuum lines, The works.
Flushed the cooling system extensively.
Back Flushed the Heater core and I've got good flow through it.

But NO HEAT....
Two possibilities that I can think of.
The Coolant pipe that comes out of the intake behind and below the throttle body might (?) be plugged (Maybe).
I don't see a "Water Temperature Control Valve" out under the hood, so I'm wondering if it's a Door that's not moving inside the dash. Oh, yes, it has A/C..The vents change nicely from heater to vent to defrost, and the blower motor is blasting away. Good 'Air Flow', just not changing to "HOT!

Been trying to locate some sort of diagram for the system without any success.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are the lines to and from the heater core hot? There is a plastic clip that can snap on the temp slider wire, causing the wire and tube in which it slides to move together. When that happens your temp door will be stuck usually where it was when the clip snapped, cold in this case. Pull the hvac control out, the clip you’re looking for is red, should be easy to see on the driver side of the controls.
