I just realized I've never made a thread on my '42..

Way back in 2008 I was in Afghanistan. On my down time I had located a cool looking old vehicle and had fester go pick it up for me. 14 years ago. Time has come and gone, and well I'm happy to say this vehicle has undergone quite a change from the day ole’fessie brought it home.

I quickly sold what I didn’t need or want, and sent the rest out for sand blasting.

Here is a relatively current picture.

privacy i guess? my yard has pretty high block walls, one of the reasons i bought it.
How about the wind, and sand blowing? Wide open spaces, nothing slows the wind down, hard to do some things with the wind blowing, sand, pollen, leaves flying around, instruction sheets flying away, sheet metal falling over. I'd think the walls create a much better work space for what we do. I know it would here - I'm on the top of the ridge, highest point above the water, open ocean for thousands of miles, nothing to stop the wind. Had one steady blast for 23 hrs a couple weeks ago, would have blown a wrench right out of my hand. I always thought that was the issue in flat open spaces in TX, AZ, etc., I thought that's why they are popular there. In fact I saw your wall and wished I had one myself.

I need to get some free time (yea right) to do some work on this one. I still need to install the brake pedal, run the brake lines, and fuel lines. Every thing else is ready to go.
The engine is a 383 made from an old 400ci rotating kit (small rods) with world dart heads, smaller 292 comp cam, obvious tunnel ram with 2 390 cfm carbs, T400 with a 2500 stall.
