I have a question that maybe you guys can answer. I have a 1995 s10 with a 4/5 drop and I was wondering if anyone has put a 18x10 on the rear with a 275 tire, and if they did what backspacing you used. Thanks for the help!

Ok..Sounds good, Im not good with the whole wheel thing. It always confuses me, Im going to order them tomorrow. Im putting a 18x8 on the front with a 245/40/18 with 4.5 inches of backspacing and the 18X10 with a 275/40/18 on the rear with 5.5 inches of backspacing. That sounds good right?

Id probably go with a 295/35/18", little wider, closer to the same OD of your front tires, and perfect for the 10" rim.

They're 26.1" tall, vs 26.6" of the 275, and the 245 being 25.7". Dont worry bout only the 35 series sidewall, as you can see from the OD of the tire, its got more sidewall than the fronts.

Im stretching a 315/30/18" on mine. Hopefully bfg will start shipping their KDW2's soon, or Im gonna be stuck with drag radials.

Would you recomend the same setup in 17"?

Like 245/40/17" up front on 17"x8" rims and 295/35/17" on 17x10" on the back of my 91 s10?

i have 18x10 with 5.5bs on my s10 and i had to trim the fender lip to get it to clear when it was layed out. if your bagged you could a 5.75 but if its just a static drop go with the 5.5

I think I have to stick with a 275/40/18 because they are the biggest they have with the tire and wheel package i am getting, plus the roads around here are terrible and I had a 35 on my 98 and my rims were dented in a few months. Do you think the 275 will look bad with the 245 fronts?

Davy, Id go with something like a 245/45/17, and 285/40/17. That'll keep both tires just under 26" tall, good size for an all around drop. I dont think anyone makes a tire between that, and a 315.

Miles, is this a 1st gen truck?

My drag radials are on a 15x10" wheel, with 5.5" BS, and a 12 1/4" overall width tire. With a 6+" drop in the rear, and they're tucking decenly. I've got plenty of clearance still.

On my 94 truck, so I've got more clearance since its a 2nd gen.

The 295/35/18" tire has just a little more sidewall than the 245/40/18" does. Even though its only a 35 series tire, it technically is taller and has more tire than the fronts would.

If youd be worried about that tire size, then Id be worried about the fronts as well.

It wont look bad, I just prefer a wider tire. The 275 is almost 1" taller then the fronts will be.

25.7" VS 26.6" tall.
