i have a 01 bagged X and i was wondering if 17x8.5 is going to be too wide for the front to tuck in.

According to the tire chart 17x7 is the size you want.

oh yeah i know but someone is selling their wheels and it is 17x8.5 and i wanted to know how that will go.

IMO--i wouldnt get em, unless you were able to get a spacer or something. I have 17 by 8 or 8.5, not too sure..at a 6" drop and now bagged. Any way the tierod end made a perfect ring around the lip of the wheel...and if you hit a good pot hole or crap in the road theres a good chance you gonna kill that endlink.....and maybe the rim.
