So I realize that this has been covered many times but I’m having a hard time finding the answers I’m lookin for. I have a 97 4wd S10 with a 4.3 and a 5 speed. I wrapped it around a tree and bent the frame right behind the control arm a couple months ago and I was able to get it kinda road worthy after cuttin the frame and gettin it “straight”, but with the tweaked frame and a couple of bent brackets it still drives like a clapped mud truck on 44’s and it’s on stock tires. So I have a set of super duty axles out of a F350(not sure of the year) that I got for cheap so I wanna use them. I’m also lookin to do this on a budget so I wanna stick with leafs for now and then eventually 4-link/coil overs. I’m lookin to be able to run 38’s possibly 40’s, so do I need an Astro steering box and if so which year an AWD or 2WD. Also which leafs, I’ve heard Cherokee,Durango and older f150 springs but I’m looking for about 10-12 inches of lift so I’m not sure which ones to use. I live in Florida so not a whole lot of crawling so I’m not lookin for a crazy trail rig. Any information would be great, I have access to a shop so some serious fabrication is an option. Thank you in advance

f350 axles, 38 or 40 inch tires, 10 to 12 inches of lift....but not looking for a crazy trial rig. i'd like some of what your drinkin or smokin, please.
Down here in Florida it’s mostly mud, we don’t really have any tight technical trails like there is up north. What I mean by a “crazy trail rig” is something that needs optimal suspension travel and control over what the truck does in certain situations. This is a truck I’m gonna drive on the road and still be able to have fun so all I’m lookin for is suggestions on parts and anything I should look for from anybody else has done this and something similar.
