Post a pic of your truck. Check the sticker in the glove box also. Z71 are full size trucks.
Have you developed a list/ plan for making it 'nicer'?ok ty for the reply , i just bought the truck for my son we r going work it it to make it alot nicer
No 4 dr ZR2's...plan on 1k for dual exhaust, not sure why you're going to replace a good factory fan for electric, TB spacer is useless, and as for wheels...ZR5 wheels look great.ya sorta going to get dual exhaust and spacer plate for throttle body and eletric fan , wheels ...
Applying a decal on the rear quarter panel doesn't make it a ZR2 - simply a tacky imposter. The decal may have been added as 'bling' or, more deviously, to falsely pass the truck off as a ZR2 to inflate the sales price to unsuspecting buyers. The RPO code on the glove box sticker will confirm if it was or wasn't. The Regular Production Option ZR2 is a special off-road/suspension package.the truck i seen sais zr2 4 door didnt look like it been modded at all i think i have pic of it i will post it
Good spotting - I totally missed that. That's a pic of a ZR5. It has the roof rack, bed rails, little flares, and ZR5 wheels. The sticker also has a "5" on it. As I mentioned above it's not an off road package with heavier rear differential and lifted suspension. Instead is a trip thru some auto parts store's accessories department. It talks the talk, but cant walk the walk.

I agree that you will get a bit more hp and mpg without the parasitic draw of the mechanical fan, BUT it's going to be really small....so small you might not notice it. Since you just got it, you might be better off spending time and money to ensure it's running properly as is. For example:the eletric fan is for gas milage , plus u get few more hp out it i did it years ago on my 4.3 it dont give moch of eather but this day and time every little helps ya know ... this makes it 4th truck ive had and my son got hooked on them lol
