hey guys ,,,i got this 02 truck i been trying get the 3rd brake light working with no luck ,, i was trying to find the relay for it does anyone know where the location of it is ? i found the wire comming from the light over head it runs under the brake petal ... i think it may have have a ground to work not sure ...thanks for the help ....

It's in the under hood fuse box. Here's a link that, in post #4, has the fuse box diagram.

The high mounted stop lamp relay's only function is to provide power to a wire for a trailer. See if you are getting 12V to the fixture on the white wire when the brakes are applied. Check the CHMSL fuses in the under hood fuse box. Most of problems I've seen with that light was a fault in the light assembly. Check that the black wire is grounded.
