Hey everyone I've been dealing with a passenger side lewfe spring broke a lil over a year ago . Being the highwider spring it's been a pain finding one . So I been dog legging it this whole time cause cuz there's a spring I used to replace was too long so I finally found a spring that was the correct size off of Sonoma ZR2 EXT cab but I'm having a pain in the butt trying to get the center pin to line up with the axle so my question is do I need to get both sides of the rear end up and loosen the other side shock absorber plate to be able to get the pins to line up any help would be great thank you

Sure you have the spring in the right way? Shouldn't have to loosen the other side, but if you drove it a while with the axle in crooked you may have to loosen the other side. Unless it's terribly rusty that should only take a minute.
I'm used to having a hoist, torch, and big impact wrench. If you're doing it on the ground it may take a few more minutes to loosen the four nuts.
You do have both rear wheels off the ground?
Last rear axle I swapped I used just a small MAP torch to heat the nuts. They're 50% hotter than propane. You shouldn't need acetylene.
