i was somewhat disapionted, but a bit of mod here and there should bring that number down.
Custom intake, MSD 6A Ignition, MSD 8.5MM spark plug wires, Hypertech Power Programmer w/ 160 degree power stat, Helix bore Power Tower throttle body spacer, Flowmaster 2 chamber w/ turndown before the axle:thumbup:joe_villa said:that's pretty good. what engine mods do you have?
I ran true duals and no cat's on my first gen, and the gains were amazing. This was done with 2.5" mandrel bent all the way back. IMHO, the faster that you can get it and burnt and then out the better...MightyMouseJ5 said:
that sounds a lil more like it. oh and could you please give your opinion on the whole cat punching subject?
I know what they look like...regardless...Im going headers, a pipe and no cat...of course...my computer so gonna get reflashed anyway...Wicked X said:I have tried this on my 96SS & my 2000 X went to the track not
the Butt dyno :evilg: always ran better with the cat left stock
but the pre cats removed:thumbup: when a cat back was
installed. Have heard stories of a low end loss when the SLP
Y pipe was installed because its to big. Computer controled
engines look for certain perameters if not found they try to
make their own and sometimes this hurts your performance.
You would be supprised at what they look at.
