About to dive off the deepend on this one!
Engine & trans set up: Early LM7 5.3 DBC out of a suburban & a th350. (Hoping to use stock pcm with hptuners

MY QUESTIONS ARE: what standalone harness do you recommend ? Not afraid of pinning one myself but if I can get one under 400$ I will.
what do I need to change or remove in the pcm pin out/harness to accommodate for the TH350 trans instead of the 4l60e those pcms are flashed for? Can I just remove the trans control wires from it?
Anyone that’s done a similar swap, any notable tips/ info? Must have part?
Thanks I’m advanced for any help or info. Not my first build, or ls swap but it is my first into this platform and using this trans. Pics to follow of the ride
vehicle info and my backstory on it- 93 2 door s10 blazer I got from a family member that bought someone else’s project.
I got it and looks like it may have been swapped with something at one point but not sure what.
I got this thing as is, already low, fuel cell in the back hatch and where the back seat would be was laying a th350 with a manual valve body( and possibly other unknown internals).
ive got a 3rd Gen LM7 5.3 DBC, out of a suburban. The trans I got with it is at the shop getting freshened up and a TB put on it.

pretty basic swap nowadays. personally i wouldn't use a non computer controlled transmission, but for what you are doing, you will be fine. Also, since you are using a t350, I'd probably go with a carb on your LS, for ease of everything, and probably save you a few dollars.

That’s the only type of trans I’ve ever used in builds. Would prefer a th400 but this trans was already a part of the deal

well, although t350/t400s are nice in 1980, there is much better nowadays. If it's the computer issues that you're concerned with, it's not as complicated as people make it out to be.

Work with what you have, i fully understand that, for your next one, look to the more technically advanced stuff. I'm nearing 500hp in my truck, with a 3600 stall, and average 19 mpgs around town. 22 highway.

Yea I haven’t found a better solution.but haven’t had a reason to seek other trans’ to use. Last year went 8.60’s to the 1/4 mile and low 5’s to the 1/8th and still cruise it around town with a turbo 400 , can’t get much better to me
