My Mom used to work for Napa back in the 80's, and when it came time for her store to purchase a new delivery truck she special ordered this baby directly from GMC. It's like she knew this truck wanted to be a hotrod someday!: A/C delete (no vents in the dash at all), radio delete (cubby hole where the radio would be), carpet delete (rubber floor mat instead), manual windows, manual locks, manual steering, 2.5 4 banger with a 4 speed, dog dish hubcaps, no tilt, no cruise, but an absolute BLAST to drive!! Fast forward 6 years to 1992 and she then was able to buy it from Napa when they were ready to get rid of it. I actually learned how to drive a stick in this truck when I was 15. In 1995 I bought it off my Mom about a month before I left for the military. I drove it for the next 10 years until the engine got to the point it was no longer reliable, so I parked it in her back yard in Wisconsin. That was in 2005. Now I'm retired from the military, living in Washington, and the ol' S15 is still sitting in Wisconsin, waiting for me to do something with it.
