    I think a vortec v8 with a 5spd would be Alot of fun to cruise around in, and it's a project too. You can't beat the sound of a v8. I would forsure fix the body first though.

    Wow been a while since i was on this forum... anywho, I need a measurement from the bed floor to the top of the cab on a 1st gen reason being..Im thinking about buying another s10 and I will need to take a 2hr ride on my sport bike to get this truck, and Im hoping my bike (being 41" tall)...

    **** a y pipe go dual. my entire exhaust (parts and labour) was just over 300$. thats including 2 stainless magnaflow cans. and thats true dual 2.5 with tail pipes and polished 3" tips

    last time my crank pulley was wobbly, it snapped the front of the crank off. id look at fixing it before you end up having to replace the crank

    id recomend a proper 14x3 air cleaner on there too dude, that little thing is probly choking your engine. I bet if you cross referenced that part number on the air filter, you will see it fits many 5-15hp brigs lawn mower engines lol

    yeah, vortecs have something like 80lbs of seat pressure in stock trim. not very much. Im probly going to have to weigh the costs and pro's/cons of running the vortecs or even swapping to some aluminum heads that will handle an agressive cam without having to change springs and such

    Im looking at running a set of stock vortec heads, but I am unsure of what cam I should run. GM says not to exceed .475" lift on the stock springs This is the cam I found that I think would work well with these heads...

    anytime you can reduce friction in your engine, its worth it IMO. new issue of chevy high performance, they did a full roller conversion on a 391 SBC and gained over 130hp at the crank.
