Trouble Finding Light Pewter Metallic Color Code

Hello All,

Going to painting my '97 2001 light pewter metallic this week and I can't find the exact chevy color code online. Any help on the exact code for 2001 light pewter metallic? Thanks!

2001 Pewter Metallic 11, 382E, WA382E
Should be on the SPID sticker in the glove box to verify.

The only light pewter metallic I could find was a 01 Durango color.

Thanks for the response. See what's weird is that the colors listed in the 2001 Chevy S10 spec book has light metallic pewter listed as a color option and not pewter metallic. Yet, when I look up light and regular pewter metallic it is the exact same GM color code...WA382E. That's where I am a little stuck. Is light pewter metallic and metallic pewter the same color code, but different name?

Re: Trouble Finding Light Pewter Metallic Color Code

Names varied from year to year. Paint codes (on the SPID sticker) are forever and are unique identifiers. Match the code and don't worry about the name.

Look at the SPID sticker in the glove box. Match the code number there. If you're not painting the entire truck, and you're trying to match and blend to old paint, you may have to mix just a little white in it to "fade" the new paint.

If you can't light up the tires in the first three gears, you need more power.

Thanks for the clarifying. I'm totally changing the paint on my truck from beige metallic to pewter metallic, so my glove box SPID sticker doesn't have the color code. Thanks again!
