Re: The Ultimate Second Gen Body Kit??

I like it, although the first pics made it look out of proportion. I don't know, something with the angles.

I would have painted the handles, rather than shave them. I don't know, a vehicle looks naked without handles to me. Especially a taller vehicle like a truck.

Can't wait to see it in paint.

BOUGHT NOT BUILT.

That truck looks awesome! How did you go about building it though? Did you use molded clay like the big guys use, or something else? I would love to do something like this for my truck (on a much SMALLER scale) but am not sure how to start

OMG, please stop bumping this thread! The original poster disappeared long ago and left this orphaned thread behind.

Maybe he's hanging out on some other forum, maybe he's lost in the desert, maybe he's off plotting a coup against a foreign government...

But he ain't here.

BUMP BUMP BUMP...!!!!
May be the most epic bump in forum history ... to dispel the roomers Im not dead as far as the others Im not allowed to say

Here are a few pics to wet your apatites ... Ive made a few mods to the rear since last along with some sweet hood latches ill post later..

I initially I had a custom set of tail lights in mind for the rear but they proved to problematic to build and use so I sourced a set of gm tail light readily available in and OEM and aftermarket configuration..Bonus point if you know what vehicle there from

Re: The Ultimate Second Gen Body Kit??

Hey everyone It pains me to say it but I may need to sell this body kit project .. after long contemplation and soul searching I am looking for a person or company to pass the project on to.
If anyone has any suggestions as to a good home for this project please let me know.
I do believe the project has a lot of potential and at various times had multiple people interested in purchasing the kits, but due to personal issues have been unable to finnish and sell the body kit as a product.
Here's a rundown of all the vehicles, parts and what not I have
-one 97 s-10 cab and chassis with air ride and 20" rims (will lay frame)
its currently a roller.
-one 96 s-10 cab with doors
-complete set of professionally built moulds for the body kit
-2nd mold for under hood structure
-cad file for hood latch parts
- start of a plug for bed insert of the body kit
-I believe a full interior for both trucks ?
- and obviously several giant folders with contacts for parts and receipts

any help, advice , or leads would be greatly appreciated.

Re: The Ultimate Second Gen Body Kit??

Here are some of the epics of the proto type hood latches originally the truck was to have utilised the interior pull cable to actuate the latches but it proved to difficult and expensive to implement the idea so a few versions of body latches were tried.. the end product is a lach built into the body work of the hood ... all you do is lift the panel and the hood pops up slightly and is then able to be lifted open and it seemed to be the most elegant solution to a very difficult packaging problem...
