Re: The Ultimate Second Gen Body Kit??

I really like the fact that your taking some GM cues for styling the front end, I also like to see that some of those pieces slightly resemble the new caddy as well. The one thing I would see causing a problem "in some states" is the cowl induction. It is a bit to large, height wise and could pose an issue in places like Maryland where a few of the trucks we built have been tagged. Did you look at maybe lowering the height and stretching it out a bit? What gave you the idea for around the top curve where the hood would typically mount. it gives it a neat swoop. Anywho, great job. I'd love to see it completed, just as everyone else.

Re: The Ultimate Second Gen Body Kit??

Calling that a "Body Kit" does it a disservice. This is more like a kit car or a widebody kit.
You get your marketing and manufacturing together and you could really have a hit on your hands.

But I would hate to see you go the way of so many other builders with a good idea. Bankrupt.

And make sure you got your copyright stuff together, because the second person you sell this kit to could be the one who makes the fortune.

And by the way... I freaking love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I personally hate body kits. "skirts are for girls"

but let me tell you, you did an amazing job, not overdone by anymeans. Love the fact that its not a "kit" I cant want to see this thing finished. keep up the good work!

Re: The Ultimate Second Gen Body Kit??

here are some chassis pix not quite finished

here are some more of the truck..

tell me more about the cowl induction issues you had with your trucks?? I ahve given thought to a non cowled hood .. the "swoop" styling is of my own styling to make it more aggressive, muscular and just plain mean looking.

yes!! I am planing on production in the next few months...

to day I was talking to my coworker about the mirrors on the s10 ..yes they are sad.. what I realy want is a set of reproduction mirrors off of the transformers bumble bee camaro. I think that would fit the truck well.... has any one seen any repos out there?? if not maybe I should design some..lol.. ????

A few questions:

1) Is the inside bed rail dimensions the same as stock, so currently available tonneau covers will fit?

2) Do the sides extend below the factory rocker panel? In other words, can it be installed on a body dropped truck.

please don't do vette lights they were dead in the early 90's and the headlights look like they are way off from being aligned..... one of the best looking s-10's ever. if you and the guy redesigning the suspension for an s-10 could get together that would be a show stopper..

the inside bed rails are the same only side to side front to back is been shortened about four inches at the top and more at the bottom.. you could cut down an existing tanneu cover to fit or I do have plans to offer a flush fit cover for the bed..

and for your second Q...............ABSOLUTELY.....!!
one the design feature I built in , the "side skirt" or rocker extension fit directly to the rockers they hang down no father than the stock rockers.. ok maybe another 1/8" here is a pix of the rockers on the truck...

I did get back the first set of production "rocker extensions" will post pix soon

Incredible work man....that is truly a piece of rolling art. I hope you get the credit you deserve and as much coverage as possible for that truck!

If it wasn't in primer right now I'd love to do a full rendering for you for free...just a thought to keep in mind if you need it.

Excellent work!

Very nice work man. Like others, I'm not a big body kit or s-series kit car fan but this looks good.

2 places I could see some improvement:
Where the cowl meets the bottom of the a-pillar. Everything else flows but that area's kind of like a visual speed bump.
And the cowl induction hood, like Frank said.

wft.. am i missing something here or is this a big joke??
i understand it was alot of work. some part look alright but alot of it looks carzy
1 big non sense curvy hood
2 big ricer air vent thing on the bed
3 the fact that you have the stock body line on the cab and half of the bed and then it just disappears after the wheel well

only good things i see is the trail blazer lights and the air dam kinda flows with that..

i shocked by everyones response. imo this is worse then SOME of the stuff in the hacked ugly shit thread that everyone is making fun of

no disrespect if you like it thats cool im just surprised in everyone..

Re: The Ultimate Second Gen Body Kit??

this kit was designed to be functional as well as asteticly pleasing
the large vents on the edge of the bummper and the box side are for brake cooling ducts..road race, auto cross.. the lage grill opening on the front is for higher capacity radiators or intercoolers and the hood scoop is funconal cowl induction...or trying to fit a large old school blower, carbs,or tunnel ram intake ie drag race..

It would be more of a sheet metal deal. but it would probably look really good with the side body molding shaved off.. plus that would help it look even less like an s10 (which is good)

Re: The Ultimate Second Gen Body Kit??

sorry its been a while since I last posted..

up dates yes !! the mold maker should have the first bed and hood out of the mold this month for final fitment..

still working on a complete front harness to adapt all the head lights, marker lights and signals int to a plug and play unit... the other option could be for a solder in version ??
what would you rather have ?? solder or plug n play for more $$ ? please let me know..

as far as a web sight Im working to get one up in the next few weeks.

I should have pricess and a discounted presale price to offer for preproduction orders in the next few weeks..
