Project Tainted LUV

I have had this 74 LUV for almost ten years already and have put it together twice, it was my first bagged truck and it was pretty hacked up.
I recently bought a new house with a 4 car garage out back and the plan is to tear into the LUV and do a full build on it without spending a shitlaod of money.
plans are:
new air ride front and rear including a whole new front suspension (type undecided as of right now)
disk brakes and power steering
bodydrop (preferably stockfloor)
body match the bed to the cab
shave everything
Black paint with blue or red accents
Black interior with ^ accents
18" and 20" billet wheels with the rear being at least 12" wide and a deep offset
4.3 engine bored .30 over , new heads, manifold and carburetor, tube headers and full exhaust with x pipe and Flowmaster 44's

New painless wiring harness

progress will be slow going for a while but things will be happening
on to the pics:
new home for the project:

what the LUV looks like right now:

First build (old skool)

second build (bagged on Denali 17's)(this pic is from about 6 yrs ago, with the handles and rust photoshoped out) Only pic I could find

So jealous of that garage! All you need is a little wood stove in there and you're set. Looking forward to watching this build develop.

Re: Project Tainted LUV

Struck a deal to trade the white SS for an extended cab work truck yesterday.
So I went out in the garage and fooled around for a while today to feel better about it.
I got the understructure for the front end pulled off, and let the suspension down to see how it looks.
On to the pics.

what surprised me yesterday was that the hydraulic clutch was still firm after sitting for 5 yrs. I pushed the pedal and it was tight as can be.
not working on it today.... gotta catch up on all of the Barrett Jackson Auction that I DVR'd yesterday

Re: Project Tainted LUV

been doing some looking around and I think I will be going with the mustang II front suspension and will do a whole new frame front to rear.
also thinking of going with an LS based engine, since they are cheaper to build and get the HP #'s I am looking for, plus I might get lucky and find a 6spd
