the old thread is now gone so im starting it up again. Suicide door install. Starting with the passenger side first. So far i got the hinges welded into the cab, and the door skin cut. Almost there. Not having a garage to work in, and the shitty weather lately have put a hold on my progress. These hinges are not from suicidedoors, they were custom made by Chris Grant. if ur interested in getting a set, let me know and i can pass ur info to him.
thanks bro lol....little update today, but not much. i cut a little more out from the door skin and finally am able to close the door all the way...thats about it hahaha...next on the list is to weld in the door pockets into the door, and then i can test swing this bitch
this is also why i did the passenger side first, so if i made any mistakes, i wouldnt do it on the drivers door lol...i realized over the weekend that the bottom hinge is a tad too far towards the outside of the cab which leaves the hinge very deep into the door skin. i have hardly any metal to weld the door pocket in on the door skin, so im going to have to get creative. i think i figured out what im gonna do tho. ill show u guys tomorrow when i get pics up.....
i figure u gotta brace the shit out of the door...so i gotta buy some sheet metal for that. and im also gonna say that the cab is gonna need some bracing too, so ill probably weld some supports to the angle iron and all that jazz

yea i was thinking of using 1x1 on the door, but well see. ill come up with something to get it all worked out...im not too familiar with the FBI kit. the set im using was custom made and i got a great price for them too...if ur interested in a set, let me know, i can contact the guy Chris who made mine
another trick I did to help brace up the door..me inside of cap w/ welder and a buddy outside the door pushing the door..then I will weld up the brackets inside the door..dont have to worry about the screws getting lose that way either..I'll snap some picks
