blazer update

heres some new pics of the blazer. as you can see its changed a little.
-rally wheels refinished with baby moons and mounted
-94-97 front valance
-HID's
-back to regular s10 grille
also i have shaved the antennae, and old school pinstriped the hood and tailgate myself dont have any pics of that since i just did it. will get some soon enough

future plans are
-smoothed door panels and dash bezel, paint red. repaint black interior parts red and pinstripe
-bench seat covered in serape
-door panel fabric and headliner redone in serape
-beer tap shifter
-hot rod trim rings
-white walls possibly
let me know what you think

i like.

would look amazing with a wider wheel with right backspacing in rear so the wheel doesn't sit so far in.

Re: blazer update

If it were mine, I wouldn't do trim rims or whitewalls. Looks nice the way it is. In all honesty, white walls on a 2nd gen looks terrible. The truck is too round and smooth to look that old school.

Re: blazer update

slvrs10- i havent quite made up my mind on whether or not to run trim rings, i had them on last time i had the wheels on and they looked pretty good. i am thinking of making one white wall and seeing how it looks. if i dont like it im not gonna run it.

I'm not sure what look you're going for, and how far you plan on taking it, but white walls and trim rings on those, to me, would look like you scored a set of rims and tires from a 1958 Impala and just threw them on. The way you've got them setup now looks like you've put time and effort into getting the look you want.

My 2 cents.

thanks man! i love your blazer, and its making me contemplate front bagging mine. i like how it sits in the back now so i think the rake from front bags would add to the old hot rod theme.

hey man, like i said on facebook, lookin sweet as hell. i wanna see some pics of the pinstripes!

also, if your wantin to do smooth door panels, i'd let the ones i have go. they are about 80% smoothed already. just needs small spots finished up. let me know. i'm gonna be pickin up some stock ones soon. decided i wanted to go with a really stock look interior.

Re: blazer update

updates:
started working on the body, getting it shaped and worked to be ready for paint. i bought a bench seat and chopped the headrests. I redid my stereo with a new alpine 500/1 mono amp, with a faux leather wrapped amp rack. I also changed the center caps, but may change back to baby moons with a white wall tire. heres some pics

also with the bodywork being done, a sonoma hood is gonna be added, mirrors will be shaved, and third brake light will be shaved.
ill be running these mirrors:

Re: blazer update

dude, i don't think i'd ever seen your box before. thats a nice setup! did you make the box yourself?

also what are you doin with your sport mirrors after you put the new ones on? i'd be interested in em if you have no plans for em.

Re: blazer update

Love the new wheels, as mentioned above, a wider wheel out back would be great. The mirrors are sick, the new hood is going to look amazing, and well, the bench seat is the best mod ever! Keep it up.

thanks man, id like to pick up a set of wider wheels, but havent been lucky enough to find any. I plan on getting some spacers to pull them out, hopefully thatll do the trick some what. also yes, bench seat= mod of the century.

Re: blazer update

haha never noticed that, but the blazer wont be black for too much longer. also, plaid was a hard one to do for my first time wrappings interior stuff. the a pillar i posted looks kinda doofy, but its not to bad. i worked the drivers side one a little better to get it straighter.
