What branch did you serve in?

I'm curious as to what branches everyone served in.
Post your branch and what you did.

US Air Force. 1992 to 96. C-130 Loadmaster. Saw more of the world than 3/4 of anyone in the service at that time. Logged nearly 7K hours flying time in 3 and a half years. The only other enlisted that spend as much time in the air are the boomers on the tankers. Loved the life but was glad when it was over. Last year would have been 20 years if I'd stayed in.

Wow two tours in Vietnam. I have passed through Guam a couple times and I agree there is not much there. I would hate to be stationed there. I'd have to take up scuba diving or something as a pass time.

I've done two combat tours. One with the big Army in Iraq and one with the small Army in the southern Philippines.

Re: What branch did you serve in?

USAF, 1993-2013, 20 yrs, 1 mo, 17 days. Retired.

I now have my Official Blue Card and license to drive slow on base whenever I want, use a cart in the Shoppette to wipe out the liquer shelves, and write a CHECK with arthritic hands and balance my checkbook while backing up the lines at the Shoppette.

Oh yeah, can't forget to take money out of the ATM at the bank too, stand there like an idiot looking like the ATM is the first one I've ever seen/used in my life, and go BACK to the Shoppette to get gas, taking all the time in the world to fill up, then leaving my car at the pump to hold up the lines at the gas pumps while I walk slow, with a limp, and go BACK into the Shoppette to hold up the lines (double whammy) again to pay for the gas I bought, then change my mind and instead of using the cash I got out of the ATM decide to write another check.

And I can do this at ANY base I want Globally as long as I'm still breathing. Awesome.
