Steering making grinding noise

'92 S-10. Steering making a grinding noise when I turn the wheel. It is not a belt noise. You can also feel it in the steering wheel a little.

Re: Steering making grinding noise

Have you replaced any steering/suspension components recently? New wheels?

Re: Steering making grinding noise

If have someone turn the wheel while you look under the hood to see if that gives you any direction. I'd start with the power steering pump, then the gear bod and then keep going from there

Hi I have rebuild front end and when I took a truck from a shop I have noticed grinding when I have maxed steering to the side no matter left or right , so I went back with a complaint but they showed me that tires are to wide and they hit something underneath. But after 2 days im not so sure about the wheels besides those wheels werent changed and I didnt noticed grinding before. SO Im confused... stock tires are 235 and I have 255 and the noise is like metal to metal not a rubber to metal

and I saw your comment about new suspension like in my situation, could you elaborate please?

its 4.3 extcab auto trans 1995 4x4
