Power Steering Question

I have a 92 s10 and I am going to convert it to power steering, do I need to use the tie rod arms that came with the power steering or am I ok to use the old ones off my manual steering truck?

Re: Power Steering Question

I'm pretty sure the only difference is the steering gear and the pitman arm. Everything else should be interchangeable.

Re: Power Steering Question

As long as it is the same model year yes, you can reuse them

Re: Power Steering Question

Keep the manual sttering box pitman arm with the manual box and the power box pitman arm with the power box. Dont mix the power steering gear box with the manual gear box pitman arm. (Friggin tongue twister, lol!) . Everything else will stay the same.

Re: Power Steering Question

I know this is an older thread but the later 4-bolt cap manual boxes use the same pitman arm as the power box. Only the early 3-bolt tops use a different pitman arm and center link.
