Pushrod tube size

Any engineering gurus out there know what size and or wall thickness of tubing I should be using for my rear cantilever pushrods? Based on what I found out about buckling and deflection, the length is important (and I understand the shorter the better) so I will say they have of length of 12".They will be mounted at 90* vertical at ride height with heims on both ends. I would prefer to use weld-on tube end nuts versus tapping a thick wall tube. Im looking for something in between F1 carbon fiber and 1.5" 1/4"wall rock crawler but with the safety/ overkill intentions of a dd in mind. Thanks for any and all suggestions!

Re: Pushrod tube size

I used to do a lot of cantilevers. I would use 1" x .156 wall and either direct thread it 3/4-16 or drill it to the size for 5/8-18 threaded ends to fit.
