Post flywheel replacing

I wanna replace the flywheel and wanna know if its internally or externally balanced on a 1983 chevy s10 2.8l 4x4?

You will need a flywheel (manual transmission) or flex plate (auto transmission) for a 2.8 V6 from 82 to 87 which is externally balanced. The 88 and newer are 'neutral' balanced.
They are all over Ebay for cheap.

S10 addiction:
1)'82 S10, 383, 700R4, Shorty
2) '85 S10, 3.4, 700R4 4x4 stretch cab (Redneck)
3) '90 S10 2.5, 5 speed shorty
4) '91 S10, Built 3.4, 5 speed shorty (Voodoo)
5) '92 S10, 2.5, 5 speed shorty, (Barbie)
6) '92 S10, 2.5 5 speed, Shorty
7) 1979 LUV, Buick 3.8 V6, TH 350 Shorty.

ok cool, i was looking up at various auto parts shops online and saw both options, since i got a manual i knew a flywheel, just wanted to buy it to have all the parts together to make the replacement of clutch and flywheel quicker

Some are "low mileage" which would most likely mean they've never been resurfaced which is preferential

When I replaced the 2.8 in the Voodoo truck, I bought a whole clutch assembly kit on Ebay and it came with a new flywheel also. I think the whole wad was $148 to the door.
