engine swap

ok i got a question,i have a 98 s10 2.2 automatic,and was maybe thinking of putting in a 4.3,only problem is i can get a 4.3 engine cheap,but its only the engine,no computer and no wiring harness,so ,what would i need to complete the swap?thanks

The 4.3 swap is the Same amount of Hours as doin a V8!!! Most of the time if You swap in a fuel injected V8 Youll Gain MPGs a 5.3 with 315hp & 22mpg beats the snot out of 180 to 204hp for a 4.3!!! Just sayin... I did the 2.8 to 4.3 Once & Never again!!! If I pull a 4cyl or V6 to Upgrade its goin to be a Fuel Injected V8 Way more Fun too!!!

Some people don't want or can't have a V8. In some areas a vehicle equipped with an engine that was not OEM offered in that vehicle can be difficult or expensive to insure, if not impossible.

There's also some of us that would just rather not have our cylinder count = 8.
