Fuel pump for tbi

I have a 2000 s10 with a 2.2. I had planned to use the stock fuel pump with the TBI and a pressure regulator.but the existing pump is dead. Does anyone know if a 87-93 in tank fuel pump will fit a 2000 tank. I really didn't have much luck with an inline fuel pump last time I did a v8 conversion. Thank you

Re: Fuel pump for tbi

I would think a 94 vinZ tank and pump would bolt it.
Why a TBI on an 00?
TBI 350's are good solid engines. Just no HP.

The engine ran a low 14 with a stock auto in a camaro with 2.70 ? ratio. I want a cruiser that gets 25mpg that can run high 13s low 14s.

Re: Fuel pump for tbi

the sending units that my tbi truck used is an old school metal one spectra part number fg06a, not sure if you can adapt the pump which is a delphi fe0115 into your current sending unit. Also if you intend on using the older unit i'm not sure if it'll fit into your tank. I've checked with harris performance's website he list some mods and things you can do to spruce up TBI injection. He always recommends upping fuel pressure to a higher pressure pump a delco ep381 which flows 155lph 62psi *ish. i suppose if the 2.2 pump can match those numbers i don't see a reason to change it out. On my truck i'll be running an ep381 and an 18lb regulator spring on stock injectors it should have an injector flow rate of 72lbs/hr should withstand 340 hp that should be plenty.
