Picked up this gem yesterday. 1982 S10 Sport 2.8/3 speed auto with 130k. Built in 10/81 and sold 11/81 at Green Chevrolet in Danville, IL. Supposedly the first S10 sold in Illinois(who know really). Anyway, here's some pictures.
Sweet OG Bell Tech handle relocate
The interior really needs a lot of love
1982 only boobie gauge lens
Plans are to find a good interior for it, pull the 2.8 and reseal and paint it, get the top part of the truck re cleared, correct painted bumpers, new suspension and wheels, and cruise and enjoy it
It cleans up well for being a 34 year old GM product
This makes me so happy, just for the fact that I would have done this the same exact way
THE INSIDE IF THE BED! SO MINT!
Crap interior
Headliner is a joke, back wall carpet trash. Good thing these are all parts I have in stock lol
Ripped the nasty carpet and found a little rust. No rot through like on my 89 though
Nope. But I took them out so I can trace out the new headliner. So I'm gonna reseal them. The rear window leaks because of some shitty aftermarket seal it has. If anyone finds a bronze tinted rear window and factory seal, LMK
82s are cool. I bought a former pepsi truck when i was in high school that was a cab and chassis truck. It was a white truck with blue hood and red steel wheels. Traded it off before i ever did anything with it though. The guage lense on yours reminded me of it though. it was also a 2.8 truck but with a 4 speed manual.
