This chart is made from the experiences I have with the trucks I lowered and put tires on, and that still look good, with not too much wheel well space. Also, tire sizes are what customers and I thought looked best on the rims. Not all people might agree on this, but most of those I have helped will agree this chart is fine.

THE CHART IS FOR S10S/SONOMA BLAZERS 2WD ONLY HERE

Well, this chart should work and help you guys out 6 7 drop and bags here we go. THIS CHART IS FOR THOSE WHO USE SPINDLES AND SPRINGS. THE SPINDLES MOVE THE FRONT TIRE OUT 1/2 INCH.

17x7 4 inch by 205 40 17, 215 40 17 225 40 17, 215 45 17 and 225 45 17. the 225 45 17 will hit the top of the fenders when laid out.

18x7 4 inch bs 225 35 18<-bend rims easy but will lay, 225 40 18 215 40 18

18x8 will rub badly and at full turn. But you are bagged, so a 225 40 18 will work 235 40 18 will rub badly when laid out.

When you want to lay frame anything above a 25-inch tire, you will have problems in the front of the fender wells. You will lay hard on the fenderwells with anything over 25 inches.
20x8 4.5 bs 245 35 20 <--will be fine once lifted up, but you will sit on the wells when bagged out

rear bagged
17x8 4.5 bs 245 40 17 235 40 17 245 45 17
17x9.5 5.5 bs 275 40 17 285 40 17

18x9.5 5.5 bs 275 35 18, 285 35 18
TALLER THAN A 26.5-TALL TIRE WILL RUB THE TOP OF THE REAR FENDERS IN THE REAR IF YOU ARE RUNNING A 2.5 C NOTCH OR MORE.

IF YOU GUYS WANT ME TO ADD MORE SIZES, ASK AWAY, AND ILL CHANGE THE SPECS.

FOR THE FIRST GEN, YOU HAVE TO RUN 18X7 IN FRONT 4 INCH BS 17X8 HIT TIE ROD ENDS. If you run, 17x8 will hit the tie rod ends.if you do get 17s then go 17x7 not 8. ALSO, IN THE REAR, I'VE DONE A FEW 17X8 WITH 255 45 17 OR 18X8 4.5 BS 255 45 18, NO PROBS THE 18X9.5 WITH 275 35 18 AND 5.5 BS WORKED WELL

THE PRE-97 BLAZERS ARE ABOUT THE SAME AS THE 94 UP S10S, BUT THE 98 UP IS TOTALLY DIFFERENT

On ours, we have a 5.5/7 drop, and with 255 40 19 rubs at full turn on 19x8 and 4.5 bs, it's fine other than that. For the rear, I tested my 19x10 5.5 bs and 295 35 19, no probs.

ok, so here are some numbers for a 98-up blazer
stock 15x7 will work with a 235 70 15 with a 4 5 drop.
4-inch drop 98 up blazers
17x8 4.5 bs 255 50 17
16x8 4.5 bs 235 60 16
18x8 4.5 bs 245 45 18 255 45 18
19x8 4.5 bs 255 40 18
20x8 4.5 bs 255 35 20

rear with a 5-inch drop
same as s10s from 17 inches and down
18x8 4.5 bs 245 45 18, 255 45 18, 275 40 18
19x8 4.5 bs 255 40 19
19x10 5.5 bs 295 35 19
20X8 4.5 BS 245 35 20
20X10 5.5 BS 285 30 20

98 up blazers 5-inch drop in front
17x8 4.5 bs 245 50 17 255 50 17
18x8 4.5 bs 245 45 18 255 45 18
19x8 4.5 bs 245 40 19 255 40 19
20x8 4.5 bs 245 35 20 255 35 20
NO 245 40 20 OR 255 40 20 ARE WAY TOO TALL AND WILL RUB THE TOP OF FENDER

6-inch drop in back
17x8 4.5 bs 255 50 17
17X9 5.25 BS 275 40 17, 285 40 17
17X9 5.25 BS 275 40 17, 285 40 17
17X10 5.5 BS 285 40 17

i wanna put 20's on my s10 (2000 X w/ belltech 2/3drop) and was wondering if i could just put the rims on with no problems with a 4.75 bs with 245/35/20 tires. I don't know too much about this so any helpful info would be appreciated. Thanx Brian.

chevy2000xtreme 20x8 4.75 bs 245 35 20 no prob

3/4 drop 225 55 17 in front fine rear id get 255 50 17 or 275 50 17 but 255 55 17 is really way to tall

How tall is the suggested 20" wheel/tire combo for front and rear?

Im going to be bagging my blazer soon and Im doing prework on the front and rear so I can lay and tuck 20s...prework meaning, front fenderwell removal, blowermotor housing sectioning, tubbing the firewall a tad, etc.

I wont be getting my 20"s for a while, so I will be running stocks. My stock rim/tire is about 25" tall. Not sure on the exact ***/** numbers, but I can get them if needed.

I was wondering the height of the 20" wheel/tire so I can get an idea of just how much I need to move things. I have a stock tire on my spare that is 28" tall. Wonder if I can let some air out of it till it sits as high as the 20" you suggest?

245 35 20 is 26.7
255 35 20 is 27

stock blazer tires are 28 inches tall
stock blazer x tires are 27 inches tall

I meant to say above that the stock rim is on a lo-pro tire, like 215/65 or something

but thanks though.

so, that is the height of the suggested 20" wheel/tire combo? which would be the better one the 255 or 245? Can I go smaller? just curious

18x8 in front wont lay on 225 40 18 i mean it will be right there but wont lay. id get 7s if possible. if you do get 8s will be close to tie rod ends. 4.5 bs willbe ok

hey n20 noma... im gonna be bagging my 99X and i have 2'' drop spindles and im gonna keep the stock wheels on there for a lil longer... my stock tires are 235/55/16 and i assume 4.5'' backspacing? will have any problems?

thnx Kevin

i am planning on gettin some rims after i do a 2/3 drop to my truck

i was thinkin 17x8 in front and 17x10 in back if that was possible in the back

what tire sizes do you suggest to keep it from rubbing and still have a nice but of rubber because i have to drive on some not so good roads

Strange said:
what would you suggest for 18 x 7's all around.. with.. spindles and 1 inch springs up front and 4 inch drop in the back
scratch that and replace the size with 18 X 7.5's all the way around.
it's best to have 7 up front, in back it doesn't matter as much as long as the backspacing is right. 7.5 will be better than 8, but 7 is best for clearence.

N2O, I want to lay frame when I bag my truck, I plan to get rid of the fender well. I will be running 18x8 w/235 40's for daily driving. My ? is if I get 19's, or 20's in the front is there a tire I can get that I can lay frame, and not have to tub the firewall? The 19's or 20's wouldn't be for daily driving, so it doesn't matter if the tires were too small to protect the rim. Thanks for your help in advance
