It's pretty simple, they are illegal. They are illegal in lots of states.

Re: phantom grill is it illegal in WA

Yep, they're illegal in PA too, but I don't think they really inforce it. Technically those taillight covers with the chevy symbols and shit like that are illegal here too. Anything that blocks any light = illegal.

Re: phantom grill is it illegal in WA

i would say if it effects the output of the light greatly! it would be illegal

and if any cop gave you a ticket for it he is just being a dick!

i have headlight covers and my lights look dark as hell without them on, but the covers become pretty clear like when the lights are on at night....

Re: phantom grill is it illegal in WA

thats what it flat comes down to. Cops being a dick about things. I got pulled over for having a loud truck. The cop says that any mods to the exhaust is illegal. so i ask him if he is pullin over all the 07 08 trucks right off the lot with dual aftermarket exhaust. low and behold he writes me a ticket that gets thrown out in court.

Re: phantom grill is it illegal in WA

there is a guy here in washington with a bagged s10 with a phantom grille, don't think he ever gets crap for it, its not something the cops are going to come over you over unless they have nothing to do at all and are sucky cops like stated already. i don't have mud flaps and i have taillight covers on my chevy, never had any problems.

you know what i ment, on the forum..... as for the mud flaps, i have heard that all cars are suppose to have them, i see more cars with them then trucks, my mid point of my wheels on my silverado is not higher than my fenders. im just saying though, its something that cops wont really care about

yeah can't not as in i can not not go to work. we can def get the back end laid out and if i can get the wife to allow me to buy spindles maybe all the way around. i wish i just had some sd arms i would be so happy. i think i can also cut the cup off the bottom cup and just weld the circle plate to the stock control arms so that should get me down a couple more inches (hopefully)
