Re: So Cal General Discussion
damn I havent been on here in the longest time, been so busy with work and other ventures. I am getting all this stuff produced in carbon fiber for mitsubish starions and VW passats. Anyone in here know what a mitsubishi starion, its funny how no one has ever heard of it. 2.6 liter turbo 4 cylinder from the mid to late 80s.

Re: So Cal General Discussion
sweet. I was messing with one but now its been sitting for a few weeks, going back to the truck(good move) but ended up putting on a hard pipe kit, blow off valve, boost controller, blaster coil, wires, plugs, filter, exhaust and some other little stuff. pretty quick car. What do you guys think of a two tone burnt orange(on top) white on bottom for the truck? I am about to shave the handles, rollpan, squirters, antenna, maybe fuel door and taillights and weld on the rollpan, playing with the new welder. I am also working on a custom hood/grille set up where the grille housing will flush the sonoma billet grille instead of it being inset and molding it all to the hood so when I open the hood the grille goes with it, oldschool stylin
. I just ordered the autoloc shaved door handle kit, like something 700, I forgot the name with two 35 pound solenoids, anyone hear bad stuff about this set up? I can always put it on my other car.Last edited by Tfreestyle : 06-18-2005 at 06:59 PM. |

Re: So Cal General Discussion
I think the burnt orange/white two tone will be cool. I plan on doing a two tone on the noma as well. I also need to get some envoy(hid) headlights and some rims and I will be done with it. Then I can start cutting into the S-10.

Re: So Cal General Discussion
I got my autoloc set up for 100 shipped off some guy through ebay. emailed him before the auctions end and got the deal on it, all brand new. lil noma, you picked up that envoy front bumper from me right? hows the airbar working for you? I am looking to bagging my truck now even though I swore I wasnt going to do it to this truck. There is a guy on here selling a kp 6link I have been talking to, might be picking that up but not sure.

Re: So Cal General Discussion
Actually the airbar works good for what I want it to do. I am not laying frame (It might lay out if I take out the bump stops, and get a smaller tire the the 245 I have now), but it's low enough for not having to cut the bed. I still need the bed to haul engines and shit from the desert without falling out. But yeah I got the envoy bumper sitting in my garage (brand new like you said). And the KP from what I hear is a good kit. Talk to cory(dropt98chevy) about it.
On my S-10, I just ordered Jason's 5-link last week so that will be going on at the end of july. Then it will be a mad race to get it all together. I hope to have that thing complete by Christmas so I can roll up to Vegas to ring in the New Year. And Jay it's good to hear that you are doing good over there. Keep safe man and hope to see you at the next meet that we have. |

Dropt98chevy and I both have the KP 6 link. It works good. Let me know if you have any questions regarding it.

Re: So Cal General Discussion
KP is definatly a bad ass kit. Like in bolt on kit it does have its ups and downs. I have installed the KP 6 and Jason's 5 link and like them both. They are probably dead even with each other. There are two things I don't like about KP and they are the fact that the leaf perches hit before the frame which I am now dragging lower 4 link bars because of that(but that doesn't matter to me because when I back half I will change the mounts) but the perches lasted a year and half of dragging before they got worn down too far. the other down fall IMO is the fact that it bolt to the axle which rubs off the paint or powdercoat on the axle. I will be making tabs to weld mine on when I do the back half. The thing I don't like about the SD 5 link is more of a problem then those I listed for KP. The bar with the bag mounts sits so high up that for some stupid reason if a bag needed to be changed it would be a bitch to pull the bag out and change it on the side of the road or even if you had the truck jacked way up it would still somewhat be a pain in the ass. Whoa thats a long post.

Re: So Cal General Discussion
thanks alot for your help man, just gotta get some pics to make sure nothing is messed up on this guys set up and figure out if I have all that 1200 in the bank real quick before I leave july 6th, big trip to europe for 3 weeks. someone should buy my soft tonneau before I leave
80 bucks. Hopefully my friend is going to pick up my motorcycle which I am only asking 1200 for, that pays for the whole thing . I am going to sell my hard tonneau soon too, its from colonel or something if anyone might be interested in that. I am going to fab up my own flush metal tonneau. |

Re: So Cal General Discussion
its a 1993 Honda Cbr1000f. Kind of a long story on it that sounds like a run around but heres is how I got it and everything. My buddy bought it as a theft recovery bike(aka salvage) from fastlane cycles with no plastics really, just tank, seat and rear fairing with taillight. He sold it to a friend of his who couldnt handle it really and sold it to me. I since then got all the fairings through ebay and fixed it up. It now has the complete fairings with brand new tinted windscreen, full vance and hines exhaust, uni filter, new tires(need install). Still needs a paint job and registration needs to be paid. If anyone is interested first one who comes gets it. 1200 as is and I can throw in some extra tires and a helmet. 1300 and I will throw in the corbin seat I have for it which can easily fetch more on ebay than 100, I paid 160 used. I just never got around to finishing this bike, I had a cbr900rr and fzr1000 I was toying with.

Re: So Cal General Discussion
lol. I stopped riding because I got really close to totaling my 900rr. Car pulled out right in front of me and didnt like hit the gas at all, you know how those old people do that sh*t. I slammed on the brakes, back tire locked up and the back end started going to the side alittle, got within about 2ft of the a-holes bumper. Rode the bike back home nice and slowly and only took it for one more spin around the block before getting rid of it. Got a 95 dime for it though, bagged and shaved.
