Re: So Cal General Discussion
Theres no point, they'll just tow it again next week. Thanks though. I told everybody in the management office to go fock themselves, and that I was getting the fock out of there. My complex was bought a few months ago, and these new people are a bunch of bitches. My wife is looking at a new place tomorrow.
Thanks for the offer though Tommy. |

Re: So Cal General Discussion
Daaang, I've been away from this thread waaayy too long. I think it's been almost 3yrs since I posted here last. Dunno how many of you guys check out the rest of the forum, but I wrecked my pewter truck, went without for about a year and a half and now I'm building a Yellow 02 ext cab that I've had about 8 mos now, so far it's bagged w/ wheels and I'm trying to get a system installed. I didn't go out much last show season since it was pretty stock (still is in my eyes) but I'll try to make it out to a few this season. Still in the southeastern US though, don't know how long I'll be here after school, I'm thinking of transferring back to southern ca since I like my job, they're all over the US and I miss home. House prices are still through the roof out that way? I was thinking of buying one out here and I can get a decent starter in the 120s. I know that's near impossible out there, but what do starter homes in a decent area go for?
Oh yeah, pics of my trucks... Old One (some of you may remember it) http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j2...e/mytruck1.jpg ![]() And the current project ![]() ![]() Last edited by Alex33 : 02-11-2007 at 08:16 AM. |

Re: So Cal General Discussion
Well a small 2 bedroom condo in Chino go for about $300,000.....................soo a little steep considering 6 years ago my dad bought a 5 bedroom, 2 living room, formal dining room and regular dinning room and a Big kitchen with 2 car garage and a large front and back yard with RV parking for $290,000, then he sold it in 2004 for $460,000.......... so the market is pretty steep out there in California especially in the SO CAL................

Re: So Cal General Discussion
Wow, I didn't realize it had jumped that much. And I'm really not interested in living up the hill (High Desert) so I just may have to wait a while I guess. That kinda sucks, but I guess I shouldn't be too surprised. I'll start lookin around and see what the job situation looks like and how much places are going for in those respective cities and the neighboring ones. Wherever it is, it'll be LA County or San Bernardino County and below.

Re: So Cal General Discussion
I went back to Kentucky and took my Lady and the "Little One" back to meet my folks and show her where I'm from. We also drove from my parents to Va. to visit with my Dad for a few days and to spend his birthday with him. I have a few pics, but not a whole lot. My Girl and I had a few snowball fights but it was mostly powder so it was more like a "Snow toss".....
We had a Hyundai Sante Fe V-6 AWD for a rental and it was a pretty cool little ride. I wonder if Fixer is settled in to his new digs in Tx? I'll get pics up in a second, I am looking for a job, I got bumped out of Colton and the company wont accept any of my three my bids , so I'm "Evading Assignment " according to the comapny. Bastards. Re: So Cal General Discussion
I know this is pretty OT, but I was just wondering if anyone knew any techs(auto, paint/body, detail, pdr) at any of the SoCal Carmax stores. I was talking w/ one of my bosses about a possible transfer and the store I currently work at is a production store, so I work at a flat rate and get paid accordingly. However, I understand some of the California stores are "Flow" stores, so the techs there are paid hourly. I wanted to know if anyone could shed some light on the rates or the expected annual income. Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance guys.
