Re: hoosiers only thread

Theres that guy on FSC that sells reprogrammed computers. I might look into that. It only has 900 miles on it though, I've never had a truck with less than 36,000 before.

Re: hoosiers only thread

4spd. I didn't even know there was a 6spd option.

The other specs are 5.3 flex fuel, 2wd, 3.42 G80 rear,

Re: hoosiers only thread

cool, the 6spd are for 09 but a few 08's have them here and there.

edit: flex fuel ftw,has bigger fuel lines and injectors so you can add forced induction without changing the fuel system

bleh, I got the options I wanted. I went late in the month so we had a hell of a time finding this one. (Had to take dealer stock to get the GM pricing)

Re: hoosiers only thread

Full size chevy trucks have not looked good since they changed mid-model, when was that, 99? The heavy-duty ones, when they still had the round front ends and the big bulge in the hood that made it look like an old '70 c10, where the shit. But its been down hill ever since then. Great trucks I am sure, just my opinion.

Re: hoosiers only thread

I didn't like them at all when they first came out, but they have been growing on me steadily the past couple years. I agree with Tom though, they look even better when you start modifying them.

Re: hoosiers only thread

Bryan, there is most likely someone local that could tune that thing for you for about what it'd cost to do it mail order. The benefit of using a local is that if any drivability issues arise you can get them to tweak it for you. The software I have is actually capable of accessing the computer on that truck, but I don't have any interest in tuning anyone's vehicle other than my own.
