Re: hoosiers only thread
I was thinking about just routering them myself. Would deff. Need a different blade though. And I don't know about my skills with a router!
I've also got the wood mounted to the doors. I'm just going to wrap them and paint. Don't want to put money toward speakers. Just painting the dash, buckets and console. I need body panels and suspenion! It sits too high. |

Re: hoosiers only thread
if you try to enlarge the holes on your existing wheels, please post a pictures of them so i can post it in the hacked rides thread.......your truck rides on your wheels and tires,do you really want to take a short cut that will almost definetly end up failing and killing someone?

Re: hoosiers only thread
I don't understand? It's just expandingthe holes a bit? There are wheels premade like this anyways to fit multiple bolt patterns. Don't think it's going to structural damage it any...
Anyways I got to thinking and asked some people and I won't use a router... If that's what you were talking about, if not please exain rather than make a smartass response kthnkzbai or both is cool too |

Re: hoosiers only thread
DO NOT DRILL/CUT YOUR WHEELS TO FIT
Buy adapters Multi lug wheels are engineered to work that way. Removing material from your wheels is really dangerous. Fit will not be perfect unless you cnc machine the new holes and any play could cause damage that could result in a wheel coming off at highway speeds and killing you or someone else. Re: hoosiers only thread
Thanks for that very useful post! And if I have to spend money on adapter I'm just going to save it for the wheels I want.
I can see where that would a lot of sense... Sometimes it's hard to read sarcasm on the Internet, so I don't want to do this anymore really. I'm just going to hang in the Midwest section lol |

Re: hoosiers only thread
I haven't slept in a while.
If I were to buy 2" drop leafs, would it be like pulling a leaf or are made shorter to be lower? I'm doing it either way, but I'm just curious. If I'm getting new suspension might as well go lower lol. |

Re: hoosiers only thread
just get the 2" drop blocks. if it is an extended cab, they need to be angled blocks (if i'm not mistaken,) and you will have to flip the leaf's around. (front to back, back to front, not upside down) i think pulling a leaf is like 1.5" drop or so? don't quote me on that though

Re: hoosiers only thread
I am as soon as I find someone to buy it or trade for it. I've already got a kid who's willing to give me $1500 in January and give me another $1500 in "payments" if I still have it. And he even said that he's willing to sign a contract for the $3000. He's the douche that stole 2 of my ZQ8's so I figure why not rip him off

Wife's car needs an oil change, new tires, and a new bearing hub. Anybody know of a good place that's open on Saturdays?

Re: hoosiers only thread
No you can't because I won't be at the next meet more than likely. If I do show up to a meet the Blazer will be primed without a cowl hood or a smaller one more than likely. And she didn't give me a whole lot of info on the blazer. Here's the CL ad: (disclaimer... names have been changed to protect the innocent)
I HAVE AN 1986 CHEVY BLAZER BODY IS IN GREAT CONDITION FOR THE YEAR HAS A FEW MINOR SPOTS OF RUST THAT DOSENT GO ALL THE WAY THROUGH HAS FIFTY SERIES TIRES ON THE BACK TIRES ARE IN GOOD SHAPE NICE DISH ALUMINUM AMERICAN RACING RIMS ON IT ITS WHITE WITH A DARK BLUE METAL FLAKE FLAME JOB UP THE COWL INDUCTION HOOD AND FINDERS MOTOR HAS A LITTLE OVER 90,000 MILES ON IT RUNS LIKE A CHAMP HAS AN AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION I DRIVE IT DAILY TO WORK IT NEVER LETS ME DOWN JUST BORED OF IT FINALLY WANTING SOMTHING DIFFERENT SO IF U HAVE A PICK UP TRUCK PRFERABLY SOME SORT OF 4X4 I JUST MIGHT TRADE YA OR 2,500 OBO CALL or TXT at (insert your number here) AND MAKE ME AN OFFER IF YOUR INTERESTED IN BUYING GIVE ME A CALL i work 3rd shift so feel free to call late at night ill be here AND ILL GIVE YOU DIRECTIONS TO COME SEE IT OR I MIGHT MEET YA SOME WERE IF YOUR FAR AWAY THE NAMES JEFFAFFA DUNHAM WILL THROW IN A 15INCH HYPER PRO SUB IN THE BOX TRUCK IS WIRED AND READY FOR A SYSTEM call me any time day or night It has the 2.8 in it. But if it becomes mine it will go to a V8. Last edited by stv-lo : 11-05-2009 at 01:59 AM. |

Re: hoosiers only thread
Read the disclaimer Tom. And provided I can find a hood with a smaller cowl it could be yours for the right price. It has the 2.8 in it. Anyone know how far the bench seats lean forward? I'd like to do 2 bench seats in it.

Re: hoosiers only thread
i can give you my stock hood
the 2.8 would be kinda doggy in a blazer, the benchs don't lean too far forward but if you slide it and lean it then getting into the back would be ok. |

Thanks Tom. I'm gonna look at it Friday and hopefully she wants to trade. But if you get the hood then I reserve all rights to call YOU a flamer

I might have a lowered S10 with V6 coils if you got a Blazer that runs and doesn't need extensive bodywork.
