Front tint legal in IL

there was some ambiguity in the "MPV" section...Quinn wanted that cleared up.

of course, i just realized my factory rear window tint is 20%, so this doesn't matter to me anymore

HB3325 IS NOW LAW!

Public Act 096-0815
Effective 10/30/2009

35% Front/35% Rear
- or -
50% Front/30% Rear

UNDER 30% ON ANY REAR WINDOW MAKES IT ILLEGAL TO TINT IN FRONT (unless vehicle is classified "MPV" and has privacy glass - 50% Front)

so for a blazer with the factory tint in the rear, whats the most that could be used legally in the front? 35 or 50%? i dont even know what factory tint is in the rear lol

my buddys got 35 on the front windows and i think 5 in the back. they still are pulling him over so he pulls out the paper work showing its legal then they just say ok and let him go.

Technically he's illegal. I guess it all depends on the trooper that ends up pulling him over. I've gotten enough tint tickets to not want to deal with being "close" to legal anymore.
