Unusual Project!

didn't really know where i could post this to where everyone, or at least a majority of you all, could see it. This is not a project of my truck...but a project of a meet. I would like to know if there is anyone from the East TN region that would like to plan a meet at Warriors Path State Park? anyone is welcomed, bring your own drinks and eats and truck'n buddy. I just want to see if this could become a monthly deal over here and it would be a great opportunity to just hang out with other S10 truckers(LOL) and get away from the work life. but get at me about this. u can reply to this or u can go to my myspace; url: www.myspace.com/s10_cowgirl it is private but u can send a message. but do get back and let me know.

A MAJOR sorry to all those who think this is a stupid post. >.<

just a thought, you'll get more solid responses, if you set a date ahead of time, that way people can work it around their schedules, and its more likely that they'd commit to attending, rather than saying...

"hey guys..mmm..i wanna do a meet, who's in?"

(30 guys reply saying they'd be interested...)

"mmmk...well..its gonna be the weekend of XXXXXX"

and an event might fall on that weekend, or there my be major events around that time, and people will back out sure as the sky is blue..people will drop out regardless either way..so just go ahead and set aside a date..

and yea, you need to talk to someone about moving this to the regional section.

Re: Unusual Project!

i actually did move it to the regional thread. and the reason i didnt set aside a date yet is cause one, i just started working so i need to get my schedule going at work, which at the moment is Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 7am to 1pm. but i start back to ETSU the 25 and have classes only on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9am to 9pm. plus i dont want to set a date and when it comes up..only 3 ppl come to it. but if more ppl say they want me to set a date right now...i will.

Re: Unusual Project!

why not set it up on a saturday?

kinda seems like a no-brainer to me, i "host" if you wanna call it, a statewide meet, every march...have had 3 to date, have had upwards of 30 trucks, 40 people or so, with other random people from around town popping up, i've always put the word out 4-5 months in advance, set a date, time, and everything, and its been a success for the most part, first year was at or over 30 trucks, and the 40 heads, (last count on here, the week leading up to it, we had around 50 members on here, that said they were attending, so almost half dropped out from what was originally expected.) 2nd year, was more like 10 trucks, 15 or so people, and this year's was around 25 trucks, 30-35 people...so just definately plan in advance, and don't get your feelings hurt, if people back out, it just seems to be the norm with people on this forum.

Re: Unusual Project!

man... all yall er horndogs! lol. why not everyone just go to like... uwharre ORV park and meet up and ride some trails? im in Georgia so i think TN is too far for me with cuase classes started back for me... and since im riding on 36" TSL's... i really woudlnt want to wear them down i just bought em. and if i put my beater 35's on the truck the 36's woudlnt all fit in the bed with 10" wide rims to hual them up there... i think everyone should meet at an ORV park somewhere... well, but then some of yall drive mini's... dang. i dunno.

oh yeah, hey cowgirl... when the heck are you gonna lift yer truck? its the green one in the picture right? you should call it the "mean green mini truck eatin' machine"! if you lift it, they will come.

Re: Unusual Project!

hey...i'll take those responses over the ones i was get'n on FTF. people dis'n the way i type and all. i type the way i talk. but i understand the reason yaw say all that. some ppl like to speak their thoughts. im one of 'em. and yes...my truck is the "green" one..its actually teal..but thats ok..i get green a lot. and i'll lift my truck when i get the money to do it. work'n around 20 hours a week at $6.55/hour doesnt get me much. plus im not worried bout the lift yet. i like to get the accessories first like the roll cage and grill guard and wench..get the little stuff over with to save up for the big stuff. and i dunno what imma call her..the "green machine" name was too long..but hey..i dont mind yaw give'n me names for her. she needs a name actually. LOL<~~~at Folsom25.

Re: Unusual Project!

dont get your pantys in a wad mr andocommando... mini's personally arent my type, but i dont hate mini's. i almost bought a black extreme not to long ago to go along with my zr2... just for a daily, cuase i was gonna do an SAS on the Z. but then i bought a used lift cheap and scrapped the idea of the extreme... anyway, is there still a meet or what?
