At least we don't have those ugly ass stickers anymore. Plus it makes sense.

Re: New NC Inspection deal

i'm glad it makes sense to you, i've read 2 articles on it, and it just doesn't really make it any simpler, is everyone going to emissions? or is everything staying the same?

Re: New NC Inspection deal

Basically you HAVE to get an inspection before you get your tags renewed.

IE: Both of my blazer tags go out before inspection time. So I could, if I wanted to, not get an inspection for 2 years. The new system (that's in use right now) is supposed to work that way, but is flawed.

Re: New NC Inspection deal

looks like the laws will be the same.97+ is obdII and older will be safety only like always.and now it just looks like that you get your tags renewed and the get inspection all in the same month.

Re: New NC Inspection deal

Well this way too, if you go through a road check, most of the time they look at your registration, and that's it. They hardly ever look at your inspection. I just hope this doesn't bring up front plates.

i am a licensed state inspector, everyone, as far as emissions and safety inspections will remain the same, although stickers will be weeded out of the system, this plan was to go into effect, the first of this month, although it has now been delayed until the first of november.
