NC/SC MEET - March 25th - Location? - Cookout & Chill

its time we try and get a centralized meet goin, as opposed to smaller regional meets, we haven't had a good meet since the concord meet in 2004, so we've been tossing around the idea of a location. heres my take on things..still up for discussion, figure it doesn't hurt to brainstorm.

Location:
Laurel Hill Community Center
(1/8th mile off of Highway 74 in Laurel Hill)

What To Do:
arrive, hang-out, check out the trucks and shit, start cookin, eat, toss around the football, sit around and talk, cruise (cruising is sorta limited..Laurinburg is basically a dead town, we could take over it, or ride to Rockingham, or Southern Pines/Pinehurst, both have a decent cruise scene.) or i could start scouting out good drag locations...either direction out of town on 74 have 8 or so miles of fresh asphalt. plus theres all the back roads and stuff...

Pics:

its got everything to offer that we're looking for in a meet, plenty of room, noone should bother us as long as we're acting like we've got some sense while we're there..

heres a breakdown of distances:

Charlotte Area - 2 hours
Greensboro Area - about 2 hours
Raliegh Area - about 2 hours
WIlmington Area - about 2 hours
Greenville Area - 3 hours or so...
Columbia, SC Area - 2 or so hours (i'm guessing)

regardless of the location, i decided to go ahead and get the word out, since we basically have a date set, so we can plan a good bit ahead of time, so noone is rushed for anything, days off of work, or whatever, and no this place is not a church, used to be my old elementary school, and the paved part is where the main building used to be, along with the cafeteria, and half of the playground, its just the community center now

devin's shop is about 8 miles from here, we maybe could go have a shop tour, i know right now he has 3 bodydrops in there, his, bryan's stock floor, and he's reworkin slam-10's truck, shaving a hardbody...and supposed to be baggin an excursion here soon...no tellin what all will be there when march rolls around...

so yea this is not set in stone, everyone throw out your .02...

sounds good to me, the flatlands make for some good driving, plus we might be able to find somewhere we can do both styles of draggin.

Re: NC/SC MEET - March 25th - Location? - Cookout & Chill

definately the more the merrier, i mean its open to whoever is willing to come..as long as we keep it controlled, i don't wanna have no burnouts and shit like in the parking lot there, theres alot of houses around, might as well show some respect, not to cause any unwanted attention, since we'll have a place to not have to worry about bein ran off from in the first place..

anyways, why not start a rollcall?

1. sdime98 + probably my girl in her truck, if its runnin by then...and maybe her brother driving their dads 1st gen with a 406.
2. scrubz739
3. DeepSkyy
4. 5timedime (hopefully)
5. JBerry3rd (maybe)
6. rll9147 (i wanna see your truck damnit.)
7. MX_Racer32
8. LOWANSLOW97
9. onmylvl + friend (maybe)
10. s10jimmi + friends (maybe)

i know ya'll aren't sain for sure you can make it, but the more heads that show interest, the more others are interested in making the meet in the first place...

it sounds like a go for me, requested the day off work today! Only a 2 hour drive for me, if anyone wants to make a convoy from RDU give me a shout. It would be awesome to be rolling down the highway with a bunch of s10's
