Re: Dragon Run

I just wanted to see if anyone wanted to meet up and drive it and take pictures of the trucks that went. Go back to the mall in the area and have a little get together show if anyone wanted to do that afterwards. Maybe see if any magazines wanted to show up and put pictures of the trucks in there magazines.

Re: Dragon Run

I just came up with the name. Trying to start something like a power tour or the state to state drive out west. Where truck owners would like to drive what they have been working on and getting out and driving. It is not going to cost anything. Only time and gas to drive threw the dragon.

There is car and motorcycle clubs that meet and drive it for the weekend, so I figured I try to start something for truck owners.

I was only planning it for one day and see how the turn out was. I still want to go see how long it approximately to drive it and get back to town. To let people know, so if they had other things going on they plan things.

I am in the process of making a site that has information about it and the idea.
Hopefully it will help.

Re: Dragon Run

They do a good job taking pictures going through Deals Gap. Only need patience to wait until they have pictures up of your vehicle. I went with one truck and I had fun going, so I figure if there was more trucks going would fun too and killboy would have alot of work getting all the trucks picture taken.

I read that this is one of the more crowded times on the dragon because of the fall season "leaf lookers".

Re: Dragon Run

When I have gone in the past I went during the week and didn't have any traffic problems. But with the "leaf lookers" traffic around it might be worse like hub_01_69 stated. I guess it would be chance on how bad may or may not be.

Could always go on some of it and the rest on the foothills parkway. More room and spots to take pictures.

Re: Dragon Run

I live here. Here being Pigeon Forge and the dragon is great we were up there just the other week in the Twin Turbo'd viper. I took my Typhoon thru a few times and 1000s of times on bikes and sports cars thru the years if you go let me know. We went with the GTO club and they got pissed because we went to fast etc. Will this be a problem?
