Re: maryland

If anyone has the hook ups with junkyards or is planning on going to one soon, can anyone let me know if they know of a 8.5" 2wd blazer rear end with disc brakes. trying to upgrade the discs int he rear and incase i ever go threw with an engine swap then i figure it would be nice to have a stronger rear end in there. might as well truely upgrade while im upgrading lol

Re: maryland

wow this really ruins my plans. this sucks now......cuz i want shop to put it all in so i dont have to worry about anything not working. I want to be able to say I want this done, and i want it right. if something doesnt work then be able to take it back and have them have to deal with it. If i tried to do it myself it would definitly be me biting off more then I can chew

Vivid Images is the club I'm in. The logo says Team VI. I'm up there about every other Sunday cause the 45 min trip gets a little old.

what are you looking for out of your truck? do you want the power of an ls1 or something more for show, how many miles are on your motor now you could always just supercharge your motor, alot less work and still would set your truck off with a nice polished head unit.

Im looking for something that will haul ass and more importantly just have the status of being able to say I have a corvette engine in my truck. So a big part of it is for show. I used to want to do a supercharger but vortech no longer makes their kit as far as I have heard and I dont like any of the other companies. Basically I want the best of the best on this truck and I want to have every single area of this truck aftermarketized........i want a mag cover truck within 2 years from now basically

Exactly, I have always been striving toward that. Now that i have decided to keep my blazer i will start to mod it heavily.
I am looking at going with a 4.3 fully built. from forged pistons to a custom rotrex supercharger with intercooler.

I haven't seen her in about 2 years. She pretty much dropped off the face of the Earth once she went to college, but yes, she was a member. I believe she sold the Stang (what a shame).

Re: maryland

As for building the 4.3, it's not really worth it. For the same price of the heavy mods you need to get good power, you could buy a V8 and have alot more from it stock than you'll get out of the 4.3, plus with the V8 you can go to town on it in the way of aftermarket performance adders.

Re: maryland

I was going for a mag cover when i first got into the sport but im building my truck to drive that shit and drag the **** outta it.... Dont get me wrong its gonna be fully painted and a few things shaved but it definitally by no means will be a trail queen. If your building your truck for a magazine cover you better really step your game up im talking full frame from bumper to bumper and be able to eat off of it. Basically the whole thing will be one off with a dime body on it. After i went to my first couple big shows i said **** all the cover and feature shit if it happens then hey ill ride with it but i just like minis draggin and hanging out with everyone

i say your a little out of line there. i understand where your comeing from on this, but some people can't bring there trucks due to circumstances (i.e. getting work done, torn apart, doesn't run..) so you shouldn't really single people out..

btw, i won't be making this meet, i have a wedding the night before to attend, and i won't be in the right state of mind the next day..

hey joe is this "your" dually http://www.s10forum.com/classifieds/...?product=23203

Adam,
I have the brakes but Ed did not send a price list. I have to call him on monday to get a couple of things worked out, so I will see what I can do about a price list.
I do not see any problem with your frame hanging up on the calipers. here are some pictures of the brake/bracket
