Re: maryland

the drive shaft is a problem if your bars are not parallel with each other. that causes your pinion angle to change too much. when you bag it, put an angle finder on your rear and go from all the way on the frame to full lift before you fully weld in the bars or bolt them down and make sure there is no more then 3-4 degrees difference in the 2 heights

Re: maryland

that was my problem. my 4 link bars couldnt be mounted parallel so i got them close but i have 9 degrees difference and it causes that shitty 2 piece u joint to bind at the front and rear of the rear shaft. i was low and it compressed the joints and made them bind and blew apart. i got a little dent in my right bedside on the inside of the bed and a dented gas tank from it

Re: maryland

thats the easy way to do it and if i could find a good irs setup like what you got to go from that would be awsome. i can ask tommorw about the shortning of your drive shaft. just take out 2 in and weld it back up shouldnt be that much for them to do. im gettin the rear shaft done by them adding 2.75 in to mine and putting in a single u joint and thats only 175

Re: maryland

What year M3 you want? I love the m3's. They new ones are definately far too pricey. Even a 98 is expensive. I love the new ones though, how the fenders are flared out and sit so low on the tires and rims. Looks so nice, love the european styling. Oh well. Even when I get my first "real" job I won't have enough money. Damn teacher salaries.

Re: maryland

i am acctually going to keep my setup and put them on. the rear brakes are 13inch rotors and 4 piston calipers. all he has to do is make a mounting bracket for the calipers. the kit is gonna come with the rotors, calipers, brakelines, and anything else needed to bolt them up. the only thing that you do not get is any way to atach a parking brake, but there is another guy that i have to talk to that has a bracket to use with a camaro backing plate, that will atach the parking brake. but i am going to lower my truck and put the brake on at the same time so i need my rear kit aswell.

Greg i want one of the newer ones. i think the good model is the CSL. im not sure which model i am going to get though. i have been thinking about leasing one to keep down on the payments. and im not going to hack a bmw up like we do to our trucks. these are just plans though, nothing to think about right now.

http://www.s-seriesforum.com/forum/s...ad.php?t=71837

that is where i got all of my info from. the guy that does the brakes is ed miller. he goes by ebmiller88.

i would give you my old ones but i think that one of them is sticking abd the rotors on both of them need to be replaced

Re: maryland

if its a matter of just replacing the rotor and pads then thats fine. as long as i can make it work with new pads or rotors.

Re: maryland

I have a good fuel pump out of a 2000 2.2l, but it is flex-fuel, and I have been told that it is not compatible with the regular metal gas tank. Correct me if I am wrong. If you are interested let me know.

thats what im trying to do, buy his blazer parts lol. i cant just make a caliper, backing plate, etc with my bar hands lol. i wanna get his parts

oh and does the blazer brakes hange under the frame at all on an s10 frame? so when i bag it is the caliper or any part of the brakes going to hit the frame or is there enough clearance? this is the problem i had when i tried to do the Baer rear conversion kit, the caliper was huge and hung under the frail rail and hit the leaf springs, so i had to send the kit back.
