Buying it back? Wouldn't you feel like you were kicking yourself in the ass for selling it in the first place? Better to buy a first gen. Plus there are tons around so they are cheap. Check here on the forum...buncha shit for sale. Where in MD are you? With your parents?

I agree, and after thinking about it I wouldn't have wanted it back because I guarantee it wasn't in the same shape as when I sold it. I'm in Annapolis now, my parents are still in Bowie. I'm trying to get them to move away from Bowie though. My dad had his '90 blazer stolen a few months back. Thing is all custom, lifted, paint job, blah blah. I thought for sure he would never see it again. He got it back 2 weeks later though, and only had to replace the steering column, passenger door, and cd player. Very surprising...

Sucks Chris. James told me about it the other night. How much you getting from insurance, and what kinda conversion are ya gonna do. See allot of front and rear end coversions around, but no side conversions. I think a Saleen S7 side profile would look nice

Re: maryland

Its weird her insurance wouldnt give me a check or anything. The only way I could get it fixed was to take it to a state farm approved body shop ie. dealership. So right now it is at the dealerships body shop. So basically Im not getting a damn thing extra out of this. Kinda pissed cause I wanted to take the check and pay off the truck and put a down payment on a cobalt ss and just fix the truck by next spring.

Re: maryland

That sucks man. Take her to small claims court and sue the shit out of her. If insurance ain't gonna cover anything, at least you can get some of the money and "pain and suffering" out of it. I'm not about frivolous law suits, but I believe you have a case here.

Sorry I think i worded it wrong but it is getting repaired by her insurance company but they didnt send me a check to do what i want with. The cost gets billed directly to the insurance company.

Re: maryland

Drive your truck through Bowie, I'm sure someone there will hit it, or at least break into it.

Drive around my way, do ya? I took the white one to the gym the other day and was comming off the 50 exit ramp to get onto 3 and heard tires SCREAMMING behind me. Dumb broad wasn't looking comming down the ramp to see that the merge was at a standstill and came about 3" from taking out my back end. If I hadn't puled to the shoulder a bit, it woulda been ugly.

If you tell them that you are planning on doing the work yourself, they have to give you a check for the estimate they came up with. The only problem is that they ususally skimp on the est, and have the body shop argue with them about the final costs.

I'm Bowie born and bred, so I know how it goes. 2 years ago I was at Friday's (first mistake) for a bit with some friends. When I came out I noticed that my driver window was bashed out. My door looked like the dickheads tried to open it with a can opener. Was sliced up good, so I guess since they couldn't open it they decided to try and bash out the window, but the tint prevented them from shattering it. So they just left the window on my f'in seat. they tried to steal my cd player too, couldnt', just scratched up the dashboard. I decided they were extreme rookies at this. The worst part about all of this, I was parked 3 spots from 2 county cop cars (they were there even when I got there) and wouldn't do anything to help mewhen I asked. Bastards told me to call a number and rolled out. I wasn't happy.

Re: maryland

Yeah that sucks. I used to live right behind Allen's Pond and we had a month or so of bad luck at the townhouse. I had my pass window busted out and they took everything (rookie job cause they hacked the hell out of the truck to the tune of almost $1000 worth of damage to the truck). Left the crowbar and a jacket button sitting right on the front seat and Fing cops didn't even want to take prints or nothing and could've cared less about it. The following week the lady next to us had her RADIATOR ripped out of her civic at 4 in the afternoon!!!!! Moved to by the Town Center now (just off of Northview) and have had no problems whatsoever. You still in the bowie area?

Re: maryland

No I moved to Annapolis back in December, but yea I'm still around you could say. I used to work at the ice rink for about the last 10 years, you may have seen my truck parked out in the back on the weekends. I sold the truck though last May, and I regret doing that. So I've decided I want to get a first gen and BD the hell out of it. God I miss hittin' switches. That won't be for a while though. I'm still over that way a lot though to go to the rink, just no truck.

Thx. I want to bag it, but I just blew what would have been bags, V8, and paint on an engagement ring in June, so it's gonna be a while before I can put the money together to bag it. I'm working on getting the selnoids wired up for the doors so I can shave the doors, antenea, wiper squirters, and 3rd brake light soon (figured I'd do it all at once and save myself some trouble). Come this winter I'm ripping out the dash door panels, and headliner to glass them (or at least that's the plan as of now).

That's why you guys need to do what we did, and ignore them all. Sooner or later they just leave. Not all ricers are bad, most are, but not all

I dont think its a problem with Rice in our club....more of we just hate out president cuz he is an ass. And he has a sentra which is done tastefully. We dont have real bad rice.....but I agree that a mini truck club in maryland is way overdue

Anyone know of a place that does window tinting in or around White Marsh, I dont want to use D and L because they are ridiculously expensive, and I cant find any other reliable sources.
