i think jiffy lube is only 10-15min. from the show. so we'll probably B.S. in the parking lot for a few min. i'd say we'll show up at the show between 8:30-9. rob wants to make sure we park in the parking lot, and not in the grass like last year. don't worry john, we're bringin the grill too. you know you're more than welcome to roll in with us john. worse comes to worse just call me in the morning.

2064 Jericho Tpke
Commack NY 11725.
it's pretty easy to get to, just go east on the LIE, north on the Sunken Meadow Pkwy(ext 52off LIE?) then east on Jericho Tpke.
we're not meeting at the jiffy lube. we're meeting in the parking lot next door. you won't miss us, there should be about 15 trucks and a bright yellow mach 1 mustang.
we'll be there around 8.

here's my cell, 516-870-6054, let me know if you run late or get lost.

Re: Anyone from L.I.

....hope everyone had a good time today, im bout to head to Brooklyn and then Staten Island for my shift. And bad news fellas...I blew my left front air-line friday in crown heights BK and was grounded until this morning!!!...turns out the engine heat was so intense it melted/burned a hole right into my air line!!! This was around 830 on friday night. got dark and i put wifey in a taxi to her house while i tried to figure out what to do. thought about a tow truck but, companies were talking 350-400+ from where i was, back to Queens. Left the truck there for the night...i then took a taxi home. I ended coming back around 2pm saturday and cutting out the line, i sectioned it where the melted hole was, used 3/8th autozone brass connects i had handy with red loctite, hose clamps and 1/2" DOT air line that i have, still was a small leak somewhere but, held long enough to drive on it....drove about 2+ miles fine, made it back to Queens around 10pm & had to keep refilling the front end every 30 seconds or so...ran out of air in the tanks so i pulled over to let them recycle...went to pick up the front end and BLAM straight to the floor...turns out i ran the air line in the EXACT same spot where the old one was...and the engine heat burned a hole into the new line me and my uncle JUST ran!!....went back in after the engine cooled down (45 minutes to the touch) and ran new air line under the front shock and around the master cylinder, away from the block, away from anything ****in hot....brass push in connects, loctite, hose clamps again and it held long enough to get my ass back to my garage. Problem is theres still a small leak in the areas i sectioned...had to keep refilling the front every other stop light or so and the freakin line is spliced in 2 places...no good! Anyone free anytime next week and wants to make some quick $$$ to help me replace the whole shit so its ONE line into the bag? I dont have the tools needed to get into the control arm, the line is properly ran through the frame to the bag, if i can get into the control arm i think i'd make out okay.....ughgughgh!!!!

Re: Anyone from L.I.

the airline probably comes back out of the frame where it is gusseted in the front and the airline probably drops down from the top of the spring pocket, thats the only way i can see it being near the header.

I forgot to mention, my front fill and dump valves are under the hood....right at the center of the firewall area.....so from there the 2 lines from the bags have to go from the top of the engine into the frame and to the bag...I cannot access the actual bag fitting to remove the line and swap it out all the way to my fittings at the top due to it going thru the frame!

Re: Anyone from L.I.

yeah it is expensive and it does look sick, it make it look like it came from factory. if i could find a nice roll or spool of stainless steel air lines for a decent price i'd go for it. but would need more than enougth for the mistakes, lol

heres a link you might wanna take a look at

Re: Anyone from L.I.

i got all my stainless steel airline tube from here http://www.mcmaster.com/
they had great customer service and good prices, i just havent gotten around to bend all the tube yet since im not sure how my final design was, the most expensive thing i had to buy to do that was the 1/2" tube bender. I got swagelok which is top of the line expensive shit so it can be done right, and all the 1/2" stainless swagelok fittings that cost ALOT.
