y pipe bent?

i have had an exhaust leak. put an exhaust on my truck, guy said he replaced the manifold gaskets i believe it was. couple days later it was back.

went to chevy dealer, they said y pipe was bent and wouldnt line up correctly.

is this possible?

any other possible culprits?

how much to replace a y pipe?

any advantages to goin aftermarket?

Re: y pipe bent?

with having a 3 inch drop in the front im sure you bent it on somthing....

the 'y' pipe is really constrictive, go to a muffler shop and have them make you a new one. price depends on your area.

how much of an exhaust system did you have put on? cat-back?

Re: y pipe bent?

i dont know why its bent then... but it is still really constrictive and you want to do more anyways, just have it done.

Re: y pipe bent?

at 350 for a y pipe, why dont you just get some edelbrock headers, they come with a new 2.5" y pipe and i paid 360 for mine.
