through bed exhaust
i need to fab up a new system anyway, so im thinking of my options. im seriously considering a 2 1/2 inch system coming out through the side of the bed, in front of the passengers side rear tire. right about where the rub strip used to be (keep it above the frame for clearance). id probably fab up a polished aluminum bezel with some countersunk allen head fasteners, just to dress it up some more.
so, anyway, opinions and pics of others that have done this kind of setup would be greatly appreciated. thanks michael |

Re: through bed exhaust
I've got a similar setup. Gees over the frame, but then back down in front of the rear tire. I'll try and snap some pictures underneath tomorrow.

Re: through bed exhaust
No problems at all with the exhaust coming out like that, I just drove it on a 750 mile trip to Carlisle and back and daily drove it every day this week, no grime on wheels at all. You cant tell by the pics, but its a 3 inch slash cut chrome tip too, looks cool in person, little loud though haha

Re: through bed exhaust
Anything is possible
I know this truck is a Yota but I can take pics of how its run if you need help. It was a little tight with the 4 link etc. and no shops could bend it, I got 2 mandrel j bends and a little hand exhaust cutter and made it myself in one evening. Im about to run 20s with this setupLast edited by ShortyzKustomz : 08-16-2009 at 02:23 AM. |
